If you are experiencing trouble uploading images to the My Galleries page, follow these steps.
First, we recommend creating a gallery to upload your image(s) into before you begin creating a project/order. Click here for full instructions on how to do so!
Next, confirm your image meets our image file requirements for upload:
-
.jpeg or .tiff
- Currently, you can only upload .tiff files in ROES!
- 125-300 dpi resolution recommended resolution range
- 8-bit color depth
- RGB color mode and sRGB IEC61966-2.1 color profile/ space
- .tiff files must not be layered
- Twenty-five character file name limit with no special characters, excluding hyphen (-) and underscore (_)
-
If uploading to a gallery on our website, each file cannot exceed 40 MB
Incorrect Color Mode
In this example, if you hover over the "X," we will see that the image is not in the correct color space. You will have to convert the image's color space and re-upload it. Converting an image's color space typically requires specialized editing software, such as Photoshop.
Incorrect File Type
Here is an example of an image in the incorrect file format. You must convert the image file to .jpeg or .tiff to upload it.
Q: My file was uploaded, but I do not see it in the gallery - what do I do?
A: Please refresh the gallery page. Please clear your browser's cache to resolve this issue if the problem persists. Alternatively, check your file's color space and mode, as they may be incorrect for our needs.
Q: What is the best web browser to use?
A: When accessing the Nations Photo Lab website, we highly recommend using the Google Chrome browser. Google Chrome is often considered a more robust browser due to its cross-platform capability, speed and performance, seamless syncing and integration, strong security features, frequent updates, and widespread adoption and support. Mozilla Firefox is also a great alternative.
Browsers such as Safari, IE, and Edge periodically pose issues, as they have limited capabilities and lack specific plug-ins, which can cause technical problems.
Q: When I hover over the "X," there appears to be a string of HTML text - what is this?
A: This error text is typically caused by a faulty upload session. Please cancel out the uploader and refresh your browser. Re-upload the image if the system does not transfer it to your gallery.
Q: Why are my files taking so long to upload?
A: File upload heavily depends on your internet connection's upload speeds. Upload speeds are typically a fraction of download speeds (which you experience when browsing the internet). Other factors include large image files. Try uploading fewer images at a time.
Secure networks (such as work networks) can also block upload traffic. If you are on a network with these restrictions, please resume uploading from a different device or contact your network administrator.
