Can I download my data/images from the Nations Photo Lab website?

Nations Photo Lab cannot provide online retrieval for photographs. Nations Photo Lab is an online photo lab and can not offer data backup or disaster recovery solutions. Customers can submit photos to us to purchase our products or services (e.g., ordering prints). We do not store, backup, or otherwise retain data for any purpose other than providing our products and services.

At the time of account setup, our customers agree to our terms and conditions and privacy policy. Section 8 of our Terms & Conditions, entitled "Materials submitted by a customer," states: "You will retain ownership of such User-Submitted Materials, and you grant Nations Photo Lab and its designees irrevocable rights and license for use in production of any requested product or service. We only use User-Submitted Materials in connection with products or services we provide that are requested by a user. For instance, when a user orders a product, we will prepare, manipulate (if necessary), and transmit the User-Submitted Materials for production, packaging, and shipment ONLY." This paragraph indicates: (A) our customers are the owners of materials they submit and, therefore, they are ultimately responsible for the disposition of such materials (including maintaining backups of their photographs); and (B) the license granted to Nations Photo Lab is specifically limited to fulfilling an order, not for data retrieval or backup purposes. In other words, if our customers are not ordering products from us, we don't have the authority to exercise the limited license provided). 

In addition, the Terms do not obligate us to maintain your materials for archive or retrieval. The Privacy Policy explicitly states: "We keep your personal data only as long as necessary to provide you with services that we provide." In other words, Nations Photo Lab has no obligation to maintain your materials once we have provided services or if, in our reasonable determination, our customers will not or are not likely to purchase any services.

Many cloud storage services are available to help you safely keep/store your photos.
