Introducing Fuji Crystal Archive Pearl Photo Paper - September 2022

A couple of months ago, Kodak announced a plan to discontinue their popular Metallic Photographic Paper. Kodak based its decision on the high material cost of the unique elements used to manufacture the paper. You can access our InFocus Blog, which details the decision to discontinue Kodak Metallic Paper. We also describe our new photo paper option, Fuji Crystal Archive Pearl. 

In September 2022, we launched the Fuji CA Pearl photo paper in addition to our Lustre and Glossy paper types. After a year of extensive research and testing, we will offer Fuji CA Pearl photo paper because it is a silver halide paper type that will live up to our quality standard.

The Fuji CA Pearl is a glossy paper featuring a wide tonal range, sharper text quality, and a distinctive pearl-like appearance. It is a specialty paper best used with landscapes and showcases the mist in water movement or truly funky/vibrant images.

We anticipate having enough Metallic Paper inventory until October, depending on the print size. Projections can vary based on print size and order volume. We highly recommend that our customers participate in testing the Pearl paper by ordering a few prints! You can download the color-accurate ICC profile for the Fuji CA Pearl paper and setup guide below!

We have fully depleted our inventory of Kodak Metallic photo paper. We no longer have this paper type available as an option for ordering.
