To begin un-installation of the ROES program please close the ROES program if it is open. Locate and delete any NPL ROES desktop icons. Right click and select Delete.
Click the start button (1), go to Control Panel (2). In the resulting window click "Programs and Features" (3).
Locate NPL ROES from the resulting program list. Right click on your mouse/ trackpad and click "Uninstall"(4). Proceed through the uninstall process- the un-install utility will guide you through this.
The following steps may require you to show hidden folders. Provided here are instructions directly from Microsoft and only takes a few quick clicks!
Click the start button (5), Search for %programdata% (6) and right click, delete the SWROES folder.
Search your computer for the folder .nationsphoto and .roescache -drag these entire folders into your trash can.
Go to and delete the folder "NationsPhoto" located at C:\Program Files\ROES or C:\Program Files (x86)\ROES
Go to and delete the folder located at C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\ROES
Go to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp\ and delete all files that start with "RWSCleanup" (RWSCleanup.dll, RWSCleanup.InstallState and RWSCleanup files).
Empty your Trash/ Recycle Bin.
Update your Java by going to Java.com and clicking the "FREE download." Once Java update is complete, restart your computer.
Once your computer has completely restarted, download ROES and proceed with the re-installation of the application.
