Below we have outlined the steps to begin un-installation of the ROES program.
First and foremost, you will want to close the ROES program if it is open. Locate and delete any NPL ROES desktop icons by right clicking on it and selecting Delete.
1. Next, click the start button.
2. Navigate to the Control Panel.
3. In the resulting window, click "Programs and Features".
4. Locate "NPL ROES" from the resulting program list. Right click on it using your mouse/track pad and click "Uninstall". Proceed through the uninstall process- the un-install utility will guide you through this.
The following steps may require you to show hidden folders. Provided here are instructions directly from Microsoft and only takes a few quick clicks!
5. Click the start button.
6. Search for "%programdata%".
7. Right click on the "SWROES" folder and delete it.
8. Search your computer for the folders ".nationsphoto" and ".roescache" -drag the entire folders into your trash can.
9. Go to and delete the folder "NationsPhoto" located at C:\Program Files\ROES or C:\Program Files (x86)\ROES
10. Go to and delete the folder located at C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\ROES
11. Go to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp\ and delete all files that start with "RWSCleanup" (RWSCleanup.dll, RWSCleanup.InstallState and RWSCleanup files).
12. Empty your Trash/ Recycle Bin.
13. Update your Java by going to Java.com and clicking the "FREE download" button. Once the Java update is complete, restart your computer.
14. Once your computer has completely restarted, download ROES and proceed with the re-installation of the application.
