ROES is not completely compatible with 4K displays, resulting in the application window and text being very small. This is only an issue on a PC. However, through a few easy steps, you can resolve this!
1. First, close the ROES application if it is open.
2. Right-click the ROES application icon on your desktop and select "Properties":
3. Click the "Compatibility" tab and uncheck the option to "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings," as shown below:
4. Select “Apply” and “OK” to save the changes.
You are now set to properly view the ROES application on your 4K display!
Upon re-opening ROES, if the small display persists, please try the following steps instead:
1. Go to this location: C:\Program Files(x86)\ROES\<FOLDER4CLIENTNAME>\ROESWebStart.exe
(This <FOLDER4CLIENTNAME> means you will see a folder named something like LabName-many numbers and letters)
2. Highlight ROESWebStart.exe, right-click, and select Properties.
3. In Properties, select the Compatibility tab.
4. Click the Change high DPI settings button.
5. In the High DPI Scaling Override section, check the box Override high DPI scaling behavior. After you check that box, there is a dropdown menu; change it from application to system.
6. Click Apply/OK and close all windows.
7. Relaunch the ROES Client.
